Honestly 10x better than Grill'd
#baconbackfire =piece of grilled chicken breast>bun + streaky bacon + melted brie (the glorious melted brie. Cheese fans yes please.) +Salad+relish+aioli
. the melted brie really stood out in the burger, giving it a special edge.
#CNcheese =100% pure grass fed beef+melted cheddar+creamy mascarpone+grated parmasrn+truffle aioli+salad+relish.
Both burgers were great, and will be back to try out some of the other ones some day.
I loved the burger holder, really good design and keeps your burger tidy and together til the end!
Had the pleasure on my day off to grab some burgers here seeing as they have a 2 for 1 beef burger offer on at the moment. Never tried burgerfuel before and I must say the parramatta branch whip up some pretty nice burgers. Had the biofuel ($12) - beef patty, egg, beetroot, chia seeds and the ford freakout ($13) - beef patty, bacon and avo. The biofuel was the standout for me with a nice, moist patty, complimented with the drier fried egg. The beetroot slaw on the bottom gave it some sweetness and much welcome crunch along with the relish which burgerfuel claims is house-made. The rest of the salads were fresh and balanced out the burger. The biofuel also apparently has chia seeds however didn't quite see or taste this so it may as well not have been there but I guess they're trying to promo this as a healthier option. Lastly the wholemeal buns were lightly toasted top and bottom to give some extra crunch and soak up those juices. Props also for providing little cardboard holders so that you can avoid getting those juices/sauces from soaking your hands while you eat.
The ford freakout was nice but a little more average in comparison. Again the beef patty but this time paired with some bacon and avo. I guess it left a little more to be desired without as much of a crunch factor, varied texture, or something to really hook those tastebuds but still a decent burger.
I feel in some regards the standout was the service. I saw some reviews earlier of people saying staff were quite rude but for me I was both served and placed my order with the friendliest staff member, a middle-aged Asian chap with glasses. He was attentive even coming over to ask if I wanted water seeing as I didn't order anything to drink. Props to the management for hiring this guy. Granted I went in the late-ish arvo (230pm) on a weekday so may have been less busy and hence the better service.
Considering the portion size for the price it was reasonable however at 2 for 1 a definite steal. Will hopefully be back to try some of the other burgers before the deal expires. Oh and try some of their chips =)
Edit:
Went back and this time tried the c n cheese burger as well which is essentially triple cheese (cheddar, mascarpone and parmesan). Not bad and provided some moistness for the patty as i felt this time around the patty was more overcooked and dry. Must be dependent on the chef and how busy they are, as i found this time their service was a lot poorer. I went around 1230-1 so there was more customers. Overall again not a bad experience and a decent place for burgers in parra given the limited burger options out there
Edit x2
Went back to try their chicken burgers. Had the bacon backfire and burnout. Let's just say I'll stick with their beef burgers.
Burgerfuel - the name instantly struck a chord with me! The place looks good, with a different yet appealing ambiance. The guy taking the orders and preparing the burgers (it was the same guy) was extra friendly, which always earns extra brownie points in my book!
I went for a veggie burger (don't remember which one), along with chips and a drink. The burger was so DAMN delicious! Chips were good too!
I was honestly stumped by this place. I'll just give it an overall rating, because I can't really think of docking points (except maybe for the price, which is somewhat expensive).
